Intimate Wedding Inspiration

With all of the uncertainty for those planning weddings in 2020, the one thing that is guaranteed is if you are able to have your wedding, it’s going to be a small, intimate celebration. While this might not been the wedding you originally wanted, one thing that you don’t loose with an intimate wedding is the ability to include all of the amazing details you planned! In fact, it gives you the opportunity to add more details, and make them more personalized to your guests! Each of these three weddings I’m sharing had small guest lists, and were packed full of some amazing details that probably wouldn’t have been feasible, or budget friendly, for a large guest count.

The small guest count for this reception at The Lark meant a big budget for florals, which completely transformed the industrial space.

The menus were printed on handmade paper, and attached to a wood backing with copper nails. This detail made a big impact to the overall look of the tables, and probably wouldn’t have happened if the guest count had been bigger!

Boho Birthday Celebration

Boho style is all about bright colors, fun patterns, and lots of textures, and a small celebration gives you the opportunity to play these up in every detail!

The menus became a pattern and texture element themselves with the addition of fabric and fringe! Again, a great example of a detail that was doable because of a small guest count.

All that said, having an intimate wedding doesn’t mean you have to go crazy with every detail. This wedding and the Belmont El Encanto was simple, romantic, elegant and stunning!

The place settings were simple but special! Each one had a handmade paper menu, rose and ribbon. I love using handmade paper for menus when the wedding style is romantic, but since handmade paper is more expensive than card stock, it’s often out of budget for couples with large guest lists.
